Philippa Ryan
Knowledge Transfer Adviser
I am the Knowledge Transfer Adviser covering Nottinghamshire, Lincolnshire and Derbyshire in the East Midlands.
The Knowledge Transfer Partnerships (KTPs) support businesses to engage with expert academic teams on a project-based collaboration delivering sustainable innovation with positive economic impact and additional societal or environmental benefits. I look after businesses supporting their projects with knowledge bases in many parts of the country. I also maintain relationships with a number of designated universities in relation to their participation in the programme.
I have been a KTP Adviser since 2005, supporting partnerships in the East Midlands by building successful relationships between technology-based businesses and the knowledge base. With experience in manufacturing, design and delivery of in-company management training courses and developing public sector policies, I am well placed to provide support and guidance on opportunities for innovation and knowledge transfer in all sectors. I am a Chartered Manufacturing Engineer with a keen interest in professional development activities and business development through people; the KTA role enables raising awareness of innovation opportunities and motivating people to network and learn from each other’s network.
