Silvia Boschetto

My focus within the team is to facilitate connections in areas related to battery and hydrogen technologies.

Prior to joining Innovate UK Business Connect I held various technical, operational and commercial roles. Most of which had a sustainability/low carbon energy focus. More recently I have provided investment advice as an independent consultant.

Most of my technical experience has been with power systems in both motive and stationary applications. I have acted as an industry advisor and peer reviewer on technical, academic and government policy programmes in UK, EU and US relating to hydrogen, other transport technologies and their environmental impacts. I have spoken on topics such as the energy storage technology landscape and STEM skills retention in engineering. I have contributed to reports about water in the energy industry and around energy resource issues.

I have worked with blue chip companies, joint ventures, government, SME’s, NGO’s, start-ups and academia managing complex R&D and product programmes. These programmes have been with the US, Europe, UK, China, Australia, Ethiopia and countries within Southern and Central West Africa. I have gained an understanding of various market sectors including energy, oil and gas, automotive, marine, defence, aerospace, international development and construction, through these programmes.
