George Okechukwu

I work as a Knowledge Transfer Manager within the Clean Energy and Built Environment Team at Innovate UK Business Connect, specialising in Battery Systems, Smart Energy Systems, and iX. My responsibilities encompass active participation in cross-sector projects related to Smart Energy Systems, Batteries, and Battery Systems, with active involvement in the Faraday Battery Challenge and the Cross Sector Batteries Innovation Network.

My educational background includes a bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering (B.Eng.) and a Master’s degree in Renewable Energy (M.Sc.).

I bring diverse industry experience to my role, having previously worked as a Process Engineer in a Refinery, a Junior Energy Analyst with a renewable energy company, and most recently, as an SME Energy Specialist with E.on Next Energy Company before joining Innovate UK Business Connect.

I approach my work with a commitment to continuous learning and collaboration, particularly in the context of the ongoing energy transition journey and the collective effort to achieve Net Zero.

I am dedicated to contributing my expertise and fostering partnerships that advance sustainable solutions within the Renewable Energy Sector.
