Buildings
Our focus is on transforming the construction industry by adopting modern methods of construction, and decarbonising.

We are working with our partners to help deliver on the innovation agenda to enable the industry to deliver on the Construction Sector Deal which encompasses the Construction 2025 Strategy, the Transforming Infrastructure Pipeline and the Industrial Strategy Challenge Fund which calls for transformation across the sector to eliminate waste, drive down GHG emissions, speed up delivery and lower costs. As a modern efficient industry we will gain recognition on a World stage and improve the export potential of UK companies.
The innovation programmes we are championing are enabling new technologies and solutions to disrupt the market in key areas such as:
- Digital – Delivering better, more certain outcomes using digital technologies
- Manufacturing – Improving productivity, quality and safety by increasing the use
of manufacturing - Performance – Optimising through-life performance though the development of smart assets, using digital technologies to deliver digital twins. This key area also encompass the development of integrated renewable energy technologies to decarbonise the built environment.
