About the programme

This programme, running to 2026, has the ambition to encourage fusion between the creative technology sector and the formal mental healthcare market, by grant investing in business-led immersive digital therapeutics that address our mental health. We are bolstering our R&D grant investment programme with a private investor partnership scheme and a bespoke innovation support programme, which will specifically help businesses get their innovations into the market and stay there for longer.

About the event

Our next R&D grant investment programme opens on 9 October. You are invited to register for our online briefing and applicant workshop – to be held on Thursday 12 October, 13:30-15:30. The workshop will include a formal UKRI Mindset XR competition briefing, followed by sector experts who will provide advice and guidance on the opportunities and challenges that the immersive digital mental healthcare market presents. We will also provide an online collaboration platform, where you can register to meet other innovators or collaborative partners who are interested in the programme.

The workshop agenda will be published in advance and will appeal to businesses and collaborative projects partners (eg academics, clinicians, public sector, social enterprises) that are interested in working in the immersive therapeutic mental healthcare market and who would like to meet likeminded stakeholders for potential collaborative opportunities.
