Micromobility
Micromobility is a trend that’s growing. KTN’s Transport Team is working closely with industry and government to understand the opportunities and the challenges.

The way people and goods travel is changing and people want short, particularly urban, journeys to be cleaner, greener and healthier. This is even more pertinent as our relationships with town and city centres has changed due to the pandemic. As demands and trends change, technology is responding.
Micromobility is a catch-all term covering electric bikes, scooters, skateboards: small, often electric vehicles designed for one or two people.
This sector is changing rapidly; at present, many Micromobility vehicles are not legal on UK roads and the development of this industry is being carefully considered by government and industry. The potential benefits are huge to our health, our environment and our urban planning. But the growth of the sector needs to be well-managed and consultations are underway to assess the potentials and the challenges.

In this webinar we will be joined by Jenna Panter, Cambridge University and Vivacity Labs to discuss the technology and behavioural changes that need to happen so active travel is pervasive and becomes a routine.
