Buying a home can be plagued with stress and complications. Kieran Witt created Kotini to overhaul the process and make it more straightforward for buyers.
Kotini aims to take the current fragmented experience and bring it together into a single online platform. Home buyers can access online tools and guidance, and search for services to build their own “home-buying team”.
After winning the Young Innovators Award, Kieran has grown Kotini to a team of four, built and launched an alpha product, and started generating revenue. He’s also amassed a community of over 7,000 home buyers and closed a pre-seed investment round.
Kieran praises the Young Innovators’ mentoring programme for improving his confidence and resilience. He now plans to use the support of the Young Innovators Next Steps Award to grow his team and invest further in product development.
“The initial Young Innovators Award helped propel Kotini forward by light years, so I jumped at the opportunity to leverage the same support again. There’s also an element of prestige that comes with an Innovate UK award which helps open doors, so it’s an invaluable leg-up while we’re at an early stage of our journey,” he says.
