Webinar Series: Behaviour change & business
Innovate UK KTN and UKRI Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC) are running a second round of business engagement webinar series to bring actionable insights from social science research in a digestible format to businesses.
This business webinar series will explore behaviour change interventions across different sectors and industries, with a particular focus on Net Zero and Sustainability. The series brings together social science academics with industry practitioners to discuss policies, tools and methodologies backed by emerging research and to share best practice.
Running from August until November, the 1-hour webinars will take place monthly and are done in partnership with 4 Innovate UK KTN Innovation Networks: Design, Made Smarter, Circular Economy and Net Zero Places.

Webinar 1 – Behaviour change & smart design go hand in hand – 16 August 2022
This event, in partnership with the Design Innovation Network, highlighted case studies on behaviour change interventions in design practice. Industry professionals will share practical actionable insights from the intersection of design, behaviour change, technology and sustainability – from idea and process to outcome. Webinar 2 – Circular economy and behaviour change – 26th October 2022
Almost 9 in 10 UK adults don’t know what the circular economy is. Join Innovate UK KTN and the Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC) for the second webinar of the new ‘Behaviour Change & Business’ series focusing on behaviour change across the value chain and how its intervention contributes to Circular Economy in sectors such as Wool, Aluminium and Chemicals. What is needed for Local Authorities and the communities they serve to change behaviour in the context of Net Zero technology adoption? With support from the Net Zero Places Innovation Network we look to address the need for behavioural interventions at a local level, and understand how businesses can effectively support place strategies.
