The JPIAMR will launch a Call in 2023: 'Development of innovative strategies, tools, technologies, and methods for diagnostics and surveillance of antimicrobial resistance' worth up to approximately 18.8 million Euros.

The 16th JPIAMR Call involving 21 funders over 18 countries will aim to fund research projects developing novel or improving existing strategies, tools, technologies and methods for diagnosis and/or One Health AMR surveillance. Applicants from UK based organisations eligible for MRC, BBSRC, EPSRC or Innovate UK funding can apply as part of a transnational consortium of researchers and innovators. Partners working in eligible least developed countries in Africa can be funded by the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency. There are two Call Topics as follows:

Topic 1: To develop novel, or improve existing, diagnostics, including point of care diagnostics, that can rule out antimicrobial use or help identify the most effective antimicrobial treatment.

Topic 2: To develop or improve existing strategies, technologies or methods, or data use strategies to support One Health AMR surveillance.

We recommend you start your application early and read through all the guidelines and eligibility information which are published on the JPIAMR website.
