Celebrating innovation and creativity: meet Global Alliance Africa's Youth Innovator award winners!
On International Youth Day, Global Alliance Africa, delivered by Innovate UK, held an awards ceremony in partnership with the Government of Ekiti State, Nigeria and the Ministry of Innovation, Science and Digital Economy led by Oluwaseun Fakuade. The event celebrated the innovative spirit and creative ideas of the youth, resulting in three outstanding project winners: The Health City, RISE, and Motivar.
The winners were each granted a cash prize which was awarded following a project pitch idea competition. The Global Alliance Africa’s Youth Innovator Awards event not only celebrated the winners but also highlighted the significance and potential of youth innovation. By supporting youth innovation, the project can foster a culture of entrepreneurship, creativity, and problem-solving. These outstanding individuals play a crucial role in shaping up the Africa of the future and driving positive change.

Encouraging a wider network of youth innovators by providing opportunities, collaboration and knowledge sharing can enhance innovation ecosystems in both the UK and Nigeria. It can lead to the development of groundbreaking innovative solutions by stimulating ideas and paving the way for the future of job creation, partnerships, and diversity. We can learn from Nigerian creativity and inspire young talent in the UK.
We wish all of our youth innovators the very best of luck in the future.
