Strengthening Investment Pipeline Fireside Chats - South Africa
This Fireside Chats series contains three country sessions of which you can select to attend one or more of, taking place on the 2nd February (Nigeria), 8th February (South Africa) and 9th February (Kenya).
Africa has some of the fastest-growing technology ecosystems in the world. One of the core drivers of the accelerated increase in the number of technology-enabled companies is the proliferation of early-stage capital providers deploying catalytic funding. These early-stage investors play a critical role in the ecosystem and provide the boost these businesses need to attract growth and expansion capital. However, there are many obstacles faced by these investors in deploying capital.

KTN, in partnership with Co-Creation Hub, iHub and Tshimologong Precinct, has curated a series of fireside chats aimed at discussing some of these challenges and hopefully, unearthing implementable solutions. These series of fireside chats will be done in 2 strands in Nigeria, South Africa and Kenya. The first strand will focus on early-stage investments and the second would engage later-stage investors leveraging some outcomes of the conversations in the first strand.
These 90-minute sessions will feature conversations between early and late-stage investors, as well as technical experts, working in innovation funding and finance in Kenya, Nigeria and South Africa.
