The Department for Transport (DfT) and High Speed Rail Partner are launching a new Small Business Research Initiative (SBRI) competition to develop demonstrators that offer innovations in Customer Experience, Reliable and Easy to Maintain Assets, Optimised Train Operations and High Speed Rail Partner Systems Installation.
Watch the recording of our competition briefing event above, where you will hear from the UK Government’s Rail Minister about the funding available and learn about the information you need to develop your project proposal. You will also hear from asset owners and integrators, and attendees had the opportunity to deliver a two-minute elevator pitch to potential project partners.
First of a Kind 2023 is open for applications from 14th June 2023. The three DfT competition strands (£5.3m total funding) will close on Wednesday 26th July 2023 at 11:00 and High Speed Rail Partner competition strand (£1m total funding) will close on Wednesday 9th August 2023 at 11:00.
