Cyber Innovation Series 2021/22: UltraNetAI

Posted on: 04/02/2022

As accessibility of the internet and digital services across the world has dramatically increased, there is a greater focus now on protecting vulnerable individuals against online harm. With perpetrators committing crimes digitally, finding and collecting digital evidence has become a significant hurdle.

UltraNetAI is an innovative solution designed – initially – to help UK police protect children and vulnerable adults against serious offences online.

The solution is a small device which Police Officers can utilise in order to gain forensic information about all connected devices to a home Wi-Fi, when entering a property. The product embeds novel machine learning expertise from the University of Essex in a network device. This is a unique offering in supporting UK police workflows and providing real time data.

Once established in the law enforcement field, the technology can be applied to protect users against harm in educational environments, targeting further education colleges.

At Demo Day, the team will be demonstrating its current Proof of Concept device which combines the on-premises device, cloud analytics and mobile delivery.
