Knowledge Transfer Manager - Cybersecurity
I manage the Cyber Security sector at Innovate UK KTN, leading the CyberASAP programme (Cyber Security Academic Start-ups Accelerator Programme), which helps academics in UK universities commercialise their cyber security ideas.
Delivered by KTN in partnership with DCMS and Innovate UK, CyberASAP is now entering its sixth year. Since 2016, over 92 academic teams have taken part in the programme attracting over £6m in funding to-date.
I also lead on the ISCF Digital Security by Design challenge, which aims to radically update the foundation of the UK’s insecure digital computing infrastructure.
I have over 30 years of industrial experience including an extensive background in semiconductor electronics, software, team and programme management. I hold a master’s degree in Electronic Engineering from the University of Bath and a Diploma in Management from the Open University. I am also a Chartered Engineer and a registered STEM ambassador.
