During the pandemic, Waleed Lattouf’s family business faced severe supply chain disruptions, a common problem for many ecommerce businesses during this time.
As a mechanical engineering graduate, Waleed was driven to find better ways to streamline the supply chain and devised a simple tool to do so. He was soon being approached by other companies, prompting him to launch his own business, Flinke.
Flinke is a web-based platform that allows ecommerce businesses to manage their operations and promote a sustainable supply chain. It streamlines the end-to-end process and allows the movement of goods around the world to be easier, faster and smarter.
Flinke launched its third-party minimum viable product (MVP) financing portal in July 2022. In 2023, Waleed plans to expand into the fulfilment world with support from the Young Innovators Award.
Waleed says:

It has instilled confidence in all the hard work that I have been doing over the last year and also motivates me to push harder in closing Flinke’s first investment round. I’m keen to work with business mentors within the ecommerce industry to build the idea before its commercial release.”
