Improving systems for vaccine management and transportation

As the lead pharmacist for Sandwell and West Birmingham Trust’s Covid vaccination programme, Noor Abduljhbar ran multiple vaccination sites. She experienced issues related to vial management, containment and transportation, making her well-placed to understand the shortcomings of current vaccine transport methods.

It was these experiences that helped her start her business. Anno Prado is a vial management and transport system designed to help people receive necessary antibiotics, immunisations and anti-venom.

The product is in its tenth iteration and has been successfully trialled in multiple vaccination centres and pop-up clinics. Noor’s goal is to design, manufacture and distribute the case commercially, and she has already had interest from her local NHS Trust to pilot it within the Sandwell region.

“I feel honoured to have been selected and extremely excited about the future support I will receive to develop Anno Prado. I hope to receive advice from a mentor on how to grow my business and it will be invaluable to learn about how to bring the product to market,” she explains.
