Closing the digital skills gap through training programmes for no-code tools

Growing up, Max Haining always wanted to start his own business. After a couple of early attempts failed, he realised that the main thing holding him back was a lack of technical skills.

Max started to join the dots when he worked at a charity and saw how a lack of digital skills was affecting the organisation’s capabilities and impact. Researching the topic, he found that 27 percent of charities had to cancel services in the past year because staff didn’t have the necessary digital skills.

Max is now on a mission to solve this with his business, 100DaysOfNoCode. The digital training programme teaches tech skills in an accessible way to help charities leverage the power of no-code tools.

100DaysOfNoCode has already taught over 5,000 people how to build digital solutions and bring their ideas to life without needing to write any code. Max now wants to develop bespoke curriculums to ultimately help increase the impact of charities and social impact organisations.

“This Award is about absorbing insights, experiences and inspiration to help me generate a bigger impact with my innovation. Whether this is from the expert business mentors or my peers, I’m looking forward to learning about new approaches to entrepreneurship,” he says.
