Daniel Appleby believes that an outstanding education should be for everyone. Growing up in North East England, he was acutely aware of the discrepancy in educational standards and the resulting inequalities.
Tapping into his passion for technology and education, he created Summatic to try and change things for the better.
Summatic is an intelligent learning platform delivering advanced, reliable quantitative assessment and learning resources. The content offers more engaging and interactive ways to learn, providing instant feedback and creating new variants for unlimited practice.
Daniel hopes that Summatic will ensure that every student has access to an efficient and effective STEM learning experience. It should also free up the time and resource burden on teachers who spend hours each week hand-marking work.
The Young Innovators Award is extremely special for Daniel, providing him with the confidence that he can make his idea a success. Having an Innovation Champion will help him to curate ideas, validate market potential and build his business plan.
