Investing ringfenced capital from the University of Cambridge balance sheet, the fund is an evergreen impact investor. Cambridge Enterprise Seed Funds, the fund manager, has considerable experience in growing and establishing successful business. Over 150 companies have been invested in across a wide range of sectors to date.
Investments connect strongly to the University of Cambridge through either:
- a deep technology or research connection to the University of Cambridge; or
- a founding team including staff, students or recent alumni of the University of Cambridge.
The University of Cambridge invests in breakthrough technology companies from across the sciences by providing £50,000-500,000 investment as part of a syndicated round at pre-seed, seed and series A.
