The cybersecurity marketplace that’s democratising the market

ProtectBox is an online cybersecurity marketplace that uses AI to assess a buyer’s cybersecurity risk position. Once risks are assessed, ProtectBox builds a personalised and discounted bundle of products and services that is specifically risk-fitted to the buyer’s office or home.

The idea came to founder Kiran Bhagotra when they realised how many cyberattacks there were and that the currently available cybersecurity options aren’t truly inclusive. Not only do you have to tackle technical jargon, but solutions are costly and you need to spend a lot of time talking to consultants and doing research to find an adequate solution.

Protectbox’s inclusive team, made up of ex-Armed forces, interns and people from a wide group of backgrounds, has democratised cybersecurity by making this complex issue much more accessible to all.

And, they’re just getting started. Protectbox has a long-list of future goals, such as a ‘plug-and-play’ for partners who can adapt for their customers’ and supply chain’s needs. With the help of the Innovate UK Inclusive Innovation Award, the team have already learnt so much about inclusivity, and plan to make their current product even more accessible:
