The immersive, curriculum-aligned mobile games revolutionising learning

Brainspark Games is building an eduverse of free, 3D-immersive educational mobile games aligned with the UK national curriculum. The games are aimed at 7-13 year-olds and will condense 12 weeks of term-time learning into a few hours of enjoyable, fast game play.

Founder Reedah El-Saie had the idea for Brainspark Games when she saw her son playing Fortnite during revision breaks. She saw how engaged he was and realised that creating an educational, 3D open-world game could revolutionise the way children learn.

After working with a wide range of neurotypical and neurodiverse children, Brainspark is now developing a prototype for its cutting-edge NeuroGames technology that will provide an early indicator and support for neurodiversity.

Winning the Innovate UK Inclusive Innovation Award has helped to validate the concept and give the support needed to continue with R&D. Reedah believes the games could have a huge impact on educational levels and help to improve self confidence:

“This Award will potentially help to increase educational levels amongst children and reduce the number of children at risk of becoming not in employment, education or training (NEET). It will also help to foster a love of learning through play and enhance wellbeing and self confidence.”
