Smart local energy systems: the energy revolution takes shape
This document presents the portfolio of inspiring local energy projects all around the UK which made up the Prospering from the Energy Revolution challenge funded by UKRI and delivered by Innovate UK and EPSRC.
Published in 2022, the report outlines the projects’ scope, aims, partners and funding. The portfolio includes large-scale demonstrators, detailed design projects, design concepts and projects looking at key technology components of smart local energy systems. Other projects focused on energy data and digitalisation.
Driven by pioneering companies, researchers and communities, together these projects aimed to show how smart local energy systems can be part of a better net zero future.
