Mel Ellyard​​​​

As lead for the Investment Ecosystem team, I engage with private investors across sectors and geographies with the aim of increasing private investment into innovation-led businesses across the UK. The Investment Ecosystem team are focused on developing knowledge and opportunities in UK, Europe, and North America.

Previously I worked extensively with angel, Venture Capital and Private Equity Funds, the UK’s Economic Development Bank and several organisations that support business growth. I have worked in many ecosystems focusing on innovation and access to finance for high growth science and technology companies, working closely with accelerators and incubators, university spin outs, and investors.

I am a passionate supporter of equity, equality, diversity, and inclusion. My interests lie in creating a fairer playing field for underrepresented innovators.
