Francesca Hodges

Within Innovate UK KTN’s Emerging Technologies and Industries team, I am  the Knowledge Transfer Manager in emerging life science applications and horizon scanning.

I am a microbiologist with a background in biomedicine and antimicrobial resistance, specifically in the development of novel bacteriophage-based treatments for use as antimicrobials across health and agrifood sectors.

During my PhD, I worked at the interface of academia and industry through collaborations with multiple companies. As a result, I have extensive experience in translating basic science research into innovative, real-world solutions.
