Conor Chaplin

I lead Innovate UK Business Connect’s aerospace and aviation activities, working primarily on the Future Flight Challenge, the Jet Zero Council, and the Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) Innovation Programme. I also lead our Accessible & Inclusive Transport work programme.

I’ve worked across the aerospace, defence, and transport sectors with experience of leading a variety of transport innovation projects ranging from concept development and systems design to live trials and policy development. I’ve worked on numerous projects supported by the Department for Transport, Innovate UK, and Horizon 2020, and have previously held roles in both the public and private sector, including at the UK Ministry of Defence and Transport for Greater Manchester.
