Year of Autonomy – Societal Acceptance

Posted on: 20/02/2018

How do you think you would feel sitting in a driverless car, or driving a car and seeing a driverless HGV in the same road space?

Would you fly in an aircraft without a pilot, be comfortable on a train at 125mph without a driver, or sail on a ferry or cruise ship without a human on the bridge?

How acceptable to individuals and society in general are driverless or autonomous transport?

The finale to the series of Year of Autonomy events will draw on the factors that affect the acceptance of autonomous systems within society, both now, and in the future. The programme will feature a host of speakers from across industry, academia and government, each sharing their insights and observations on this topical subject.

This event will take place on 1 March 2018 at NOC, Southampton.

Registration is now open, tickets are £30.00 which includes lunch and refreshments.
