Put your RAI business on the fast track to investment with KTN & RAE Pitchfest!

This Pitchfest Programme will consist of two elements:

РAn Investment Readiness Programme to train RAI firms in delivering ‘the perfect pitch’, delivered by the KTN’s Access to Funding and Finance Team and the RAI Special Interest Group.

– An Investor Showcase, providing the opportunity for RAI firms to deliver their pitches to a curated audience of investors with a specific interest in investing in these technologies. This will be hosted by the Royal Academy of Engineering, and delivered in collaboration with KTN.

The Investment Readiness Programme has now closed for applications, but you can still apply to be selected for the Investor Showcase in January. Submit your application by 29th November for your chance to pitch to investors with an interest in Robotics & AI. Selections will take place on 11th December.

Investment-hungry firms working in the field of Robotics and Artificial Intelligence (RAI) are invited to take part in this investment readiness programme. This programme provides a unique opportunity to raise the company’s profile in front of serious investors. The participating businesses will  learn what is expected when raising cash and how to put forward a strong proposition. There is also the opportunity of a high-quality networking experience for entrepreneurs and investors to spark new ideas and opportunities.

What training is provided?

  • Development, structure and presentation of a pitch
  • Insight from the investor perspective
  • Business valuation tools
  • Finance due diligence
  • Exit strategy

This investment readiness programme will be run over a number of sessions:

Session 1: Pitch Training – 13th and 14th Nov, Sheffield

The first session will be held over two days and gives a broad grounding about the investment ecosystem; this includes what do investors look for, a toolkit for developing and delivering the investment deck and how to find investors.

Session 2: Pitch Critique – 27th Nov, London

In the second session, a pitch critique day is held where the companies come up and give their investment pitch to the group and are provided feedback.

Session 3: Company Selection – 11th Dec, London

Companies are invited to pitch their investment opportunity to a panel comprised of stakeholders and a friendly investor. The panel will select those companies it wishes to put forward to the Showcase event.

Session 4: Investor Showcase – 15th Jan, London

Depending on the number of companies put forward, there will be a Showcase event to promote the companies to a selective audience of investors and industry stakeholders. This session will be hosted by the Royal Academy of Engineering, and delivered in collaboration with KTN.

At the end of the programme, companies will be able to better prepare an investor pitch and be more confident in the delivery of their ‘story’.

Places are limited, as only a cohort of high potential companies will be selected from all those that apply. Submit your application for your chance to present at the Investor Showcase in January. Applications for this close on 29th November.
