Opportunity to join KTN to work on new international AgriFood project
Innovate UK, jointly with the Department for International Development (DFID), are supporting a new exciting initiative funded by the Global Challenges Research Fund (GCRF). This initiative aims to realise sustainable management of the food production systems in Africa. This will be done in a way that alleviates poverty, enhances economic prosperity and delivers improved wellbeing.
Key outcomes include:

sustainable intensification of African agriculture

improvements in human health and diversity of diets and nutrition

positive impacts on rural income and food security

facilitation of trade in agricultural products.
This UK-Africa AgriFood Programme is funded by the GCRF and DFID. It will be delivered through three core activities, led by Innovate UK in partnership with UK Research and Innovation (UKRI) and DFID.
The three core activities are:
1) Technology Accelerator Programme
2) Skills Training Programme
3) Dissemination and Coordination Activities
Innovate UK asked KTN to provide support for the third core activity (Dissemination and Coordination Activities) and we are recruiting for a Knowledge Transfer Manager for this programme to help with this.
The job can be based in our Edinburgh office (city centre) or home-based – the post will interact closely with colleagues in the North of England. The salary is £31,447 pa to £39,310 pa depending on experience, and applications close on 23rd August.
