Interim CEO of Knowledge Transfer Network Ltd
The Board of KTN has announced the appointment of Sue Dunkerton OBE as the Interim CEO of Knowledge Transfer Network Ltd from mid-April 2019.
Chris Warkup, current CEO of KTN, will retire from his role and from the board on 18th April 2019. As previously announced, Dr Alicia Greated will take over as CEO in August this year.
Sue Dunkerton, who will serve as CEO in the interim, is currently responsible for Life and Materials Sciences at KTN and is a member of the Executive Management Team. After studying materials science at the University of Manchester, she joined TWI where her career in research and technology spanned oil & gas, aerospace and electronics before eventually focusing on medical technologies and healthcare.
Sue has been involved in knowledge transfer since 2002 through Faraday Partnerships, the forerunners to what is now the Knowledge Transfer Network. She received an OBE in the Queen’s New Year Honours in 2014 in recognition of her championing of and contribution to the engineering industry.
Sue commented “I look forward to working with the Board, the KTN delivery teams and our sponsors over the next five months, to maintain our focus on delivering the ambitious growth and impact strategy for the organisation.”
