KTN & Innovate UK present the Innovation in Medicines Manufacturing through Collaboration event on March 27th in Darlington. The event will provide an update for projects funded through the Industrial Strategy Challenge Fund (ISCF) Medicines Manufacturing Challenge Fund on Collaborative Research & Development calls. You can register for the event by clicking here.
This leading-edge Medicines Manufacturing healthcare challenge is part of the Industrial Strategy Challenge Fund. We are faced with the challenge of manufacturing many different types of medicines and getting the right drugs and treatments to individual patients when they need them. Over the last 18 months, Government has been investing in a range of infrastructure and innovation projects in support of medicines manufacturing.
This Innovate UK and Knowledge Transfer Network event is an opportunity to learn more about a selection of projects that have been funded to accelerate the development and manufacture of vital advanced therapies, medicines and vaccines. The day’s objective is to disseminate the results and innovations arising from these funded projects, and to enable this medicines manufacturing community to explore further opportunities for collaboration through networking.
During the day, delegates will hear from a range of project participants from the first round of the medicines manufacturing collaborative R+D competition. In addition there will be an update on recent ISCF investments in enhancing current UK capabilities in medicines manufacturing innovation, and sharing what this means for medicines manufacturing in the UK.
There will be an opportunity to participate in a site tour of the National Biologics Manufacturing Centre CPI, part of the High Value Manufacturing Catapult.
Throughout the day representatives of Innovate UK and the Knowledge Transfer Network will be available to support companies wanting to discuss their latest innovations. There will be networking time throughout the day as well as bookable 1-2-1 partnering meetings.
This meeting is free to attend, and the draft agenda is available here. Please contact Aileen Woodley at KTN for further details.
Please note, places for this event are limited and if the meeting is oversubscribed, places will be prioritised for those who are technical practitioners in the sector.
