The EPRISE project is hosting a photonics roadshow event focused on the agri-tech and food markets on 14-15 February 2019 in Amsterdam.

The EPRISE project supports SMEs working in photonics with overcoming the barriers to market entry. They are hosting a European roadshow focused on the agri-tech and food markets, in order to capitalise on the opportunity for photonics to play a role in the future of agriculture and food production.

After the USA, the Netherlands is the largest export market worldwide, not only for agriculture and food products, but also for innovative technology in these two application areas. At the roadshow, you will have the opportunity to hear from a range of international experts from industry and academia about the future of photonics in agritech and food, discuss how the challenges could be overcome, and learn from successful companies operating in these markets.

The roadshow aims to provide SMEs with solutions to help them overcome the market barriers and to boost collaboration in Europe via pre-arranged B2B meetings. This is a unique opportunity to meet other European photonics companies, seek advice from end-users and experts in agriculture and food, and to explore new business leads.

The first day focuses on the value chain, including R&D, along with expert presentations and pitching sessions from photonics companies and end users. The second day features a parallel program with presentations, pre-arranged B2B meetings and exhibitions. After the roadshow there’s an optional visit to the Tropen Museum.
