How can we increase the collection and recovery of critical raw materials from WEEE?
The Critical Raw Material Recovery Project are hosting a webinar on the 19th March exploring the recovery of critical raw material from WEEE.
The one hour webinar, held between 12pm and  1pm on the 19th March, will look at how businesses, funding bodies and research organisations are approaching the challenges faced to improve the recovery of critical raw materials (CRMs) from waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE).
The EU LIFE funded Critical Raw Material Closed Loop Recovery project invested in trials exploring novel ways of boosting the collection and recovery of CRMs from household WEEE.  Each year millions of tonnes of WEEE is generated in the EU, but only 30% is reported as properly collected and recycled.
Recommendations have been informed by the activity delivered by the CRM Recovery project that has, with the support of the European Union through the LIFE Programme, supported collaboration and innovation in regional trials across the UK, Germany, Italy and the Czech Republic.
