Creating a strong UK-wide aquaculture ECR community
Early-career researchers working in aquaculture-relevant research are invited to take part in a survey on training needs.
The Aquaculture Research Collaborative Hub (ARCH-UK) is conducting a survey on the training needs of early-career researchers (ECRs) working in aquaculture-relevant research in the UK.
ARCH-UK aims to direct research funding to fuel research that will have the greatest impact on the sustainable development of UK aquaculture and to create a proactive UK-wide aquaculture research community. The network is funded by the BBSRC/NERC Aquaculture Initiative and its members include aquaculture stakeholders from academia, industry and policy.

The network has a Working Group specifically dedicated to the development of a strong UK-wide aquaculture ECR community and to facilitating the early formation of research partnerships.
All ECRs working with UK aquaculture are invited to participate in this survey, which will take approximately 10 minutes. ARCH-UK defines an early career researcher as within 10 years of finishing their PhD. The results of this survey will help ARCH-UK identify ECRs’ training needs and career interests and guide the themes of future workshops and career development opportunities (e.g. training, specific funding opportunities, industry placements, etc.).
