Academic teams with an idea for a cybersecurity product or service are invited to apply for a share of £800,000 to help take it from lab to market via the Cyber Security Academic Startup Accelerator Programme (CyberASAP). The competition is now open and closes at noon on Wednesday 4 March.

This will be the fourth year of CyberASAP – the only pre-seed accelerator programme in the cyber security ecosystem. The programme runs over two stages and is designed to help academic teams navigate the challenging journey from academic idea to commercial roll-out. The Year 4 programme will start on 1 April 2020 with Phase 1 – developing your value proposition and market validation. Successful teams from Phase 1 will progress to the second stage of the programme developing your proof of concept which culminates in a Demo Day in February 2021 where teams‚Äô prototypes are showcased to potential investors and industry.
