The project uses a holistic systems approach to simulate and physically demonstrate the viability of electric aircraft in regional air transport operations in a scalable ecosystem using modelling and simulation tools to optimise flights.

Building on the Alan Turing Institute’s BlueBird family of aviation simulation tools to include delivery UAV’s, the project will integrate multi-modal ground-based freight networks to provide optimal routing schedules across the full spectrum of future electric and sustainable delivery modes.
