Industrial Applications of Biomass and Processing By-products: Consortia Building and Innovation Funding – a preview!

The Bioeconomy Cluster Builder is delighted to invite you to the next event in our Industrial Applications of Biomass and Processing By-products series. Yes, that’s right! Following the great participation and feedback from our workshop on 27th May, we decided to capitalise on the momentum and level of activity in our community around the BEIS Biomass Strategy by creating a series of events.

This follow up webinar will be a chance for you to hear about all the excellent information gathered in the themed breakout rooms. It will be an opportunity to share your feedback around possibilities and barriers to success experienced across the bioeconomy community, but also to hear first-hand about our plans to help you address these.

Webinar recording and slides are now available

Find the slides here.

We will expand upon the common themes identified in each area of biomass utilisation:

  • issues around poor connectivity across the supply chain
  • difficulties building projects that bring together appropriate stakeholders including producers, academics, technology providers and customers
  • challenges associated with scaling up processes

You asked! We listened! So, we’re currently working on a consortia and project building workshop for July. Come along to hear more about our plans and details of how to get involved.

In recognition of the importance placed on funding during the breakouts at our May workshop, we’ll also be dedicating part of this webinar to some of the key streams you can tap into to help your projects progress.

The Bioeconomy Cluster Builder (BCB) project is a joint enterprise between KTN, IBioIC, and Scottish Enterprise to introduce biotechnology solutions to new markets and grow the bioeconomy in Scotland. The BCB Project is funded through ERDF.
