11 August | Ignite Conversation: Design in Space
Watch the recording below.

Design offers new perspectives and insights. It can help uncover new opportunities as well as manage uncertainty and complexity.

Ignite Coversations provides space to deep-dive into the opportunities for design in specific sectors and technology areas and around the big challenges facing society.

Our view of design is expansive and inclusive. Good or bad, design is everywhere. Our mission is to drive positive change by encouraging respectful systems-aware, planet-focused and people sensitive innovation.

From Space to Services; Inclusion to intelligent Systems – each week our panel of designers and challenge holders will discuss the role of design in it delivering better innovation outcomes.

The space sector is taking off!

As we push new frontiers and develop complex technologies that will sometimes behave in unpredictable and unintended ways, how can we be responsible and sustainable in our approach?

Join us as we discuss the opportunities for Design in Space Innovation.

We taked to: Aleksandra Kozawska, founder of Odis Design Studio and the Designers in Space Community (DiSC); Joel Freedman, Design Lead at Satellite Applications Catapult; and Luca Budello, Innovation Lead of Geospatial Technologies at Innovate UK KTN.

The session included a panel discussion chaired by Abi Hird, Design Innovation Network Lead at Innovate UK KTN, and audience Q&A.
