Overview

The Innovate UK BridgeAI programme’s mission is to help businesses in high growth potential sectors such as construction to harness the power of artificial intelligence and unlock their full potential.

We make AI more accessible to UK’s construction sector, providing guidance to industry leaders and up-skilling AI users to streamline processes, make accurate predictions, identify safety hazards, and free staff from repetitive tasks to focus on complex tasks.

AI has a huge opportunity to increase efficiency, safety and sustainability in the construction industry, there are however notable barriers in implementing new technology within the sector. To explore these, Innovate UK delivered an in-person Global Expert Mission (GEM) in June 2023 to Switzerland, where a group of UK experts met private and public sector organisations to understand the innovation landscape and help benchmark against UK capability.

About the event

Hosted by Innovate UK, this webinar is set to take place from midday 29th November 2023, and aims to share invaluable insights gained from the recent GEM to Switzerland. This GEM sought to foster global collaboration, facilitate technology transfer, and identify opportunities in construction and AI innovations

During this webinar, our experts will provide an overview of the latest developments in AI technologies, and share insights and learnings gained from the GEM into the key technical and regulatory challenges, exciting opportunities, and implications for the future of AI in the construction sector.

Along with the informative presentations, there will be breakout rooms to identify attendees’ views of the sector and help inform Innovate UK’s strategy to developing international collaboration with Switzerland and support for the construction industry to implement and develop AI technologies.
