Future Flight Cafe: SKYDROCELL: Improving autonomous flight safety with 3D risk maps

Hear about project SKYDROCELL who aim to improve autonomous flight safety with 3D map risks. For use by authorities, insurers, operators and other stakeholders, the tool will facilitate the safe and effective use of unmanned drones and other air vehicles, in complex environments such as the “urban canyons” between high rise buildings.

Phase 3 of the Future Flight Challenge competition is now open providing organisations the opportunity to bid for funding. To help you prepare and form new partnerships, KTN’s Future Flight Café series of short, online webinars can help. Each spotlight one previously funded project followed by a discussion and question session.

Who should watch?

The Future Flight Challenge needs diverse technologies, services and infrastructure to deliver an advanced aviation system. These webinars are ideal for those with expertise in sectors including data, digital, design, business models, automation, alternative fuels, air traffic management or social science. They’re also a must-watch for Local Authorities, end-users (e.g. NHS, Network Rail, asset owners) and partners (e.g. airports, infrastructure and asset owners), all key enablers to the success of the programme.
