About the programme
The Women in Innovation (WiI) programme was launched in 2016 by Innovate UK with the overall aim to increase gender equality in business-led innovation.
The programme has continued to go from strength to strength, year by year, with ever greater numbers of women innovating in business. In the last 6 years we have had the honour of nurturing 118 pioneering women to embrace innovation, grow their businesses, and navigate the entrepreneurial ecosystem for positive economic, environmental, and societal change.
Over the years, the WiI programme:
- has created a vibrant community of over 9,500 members aligned to the same mission
- has empowered a diverse group of awardees to serve as role models and inspire the next generation of women innovators
- has provided opportunities to work in partnership with many brilliant organisations and networks, learning from one another, amplifying our reach and impact.
