Making the case for resource recovery as part of the circular economy

The 2017 Resource Recovery from Waste conference is taking place on 22nd November in Leeds.

The successful implementation of ideas, frameworks and technologies for resource recovery from waste will require the formulation of strong business cases for a variety of actors in industry and government. This year’s Resource Recovery from Waste Annual Conference aims to present both conceptual ideas and practical experiences on the formulation of business cases for resource recovery as part of the circular economy.

Confirmed keynote speakers include:

• Prof Ian Boyd, Chief Scientific Advisor at Defra, talking about Defra‚Äôs vision for a Circular Economy
• David Fatscher, British Standards Institution, talking about the first global circular business model standard BS8001
• Prof Jan Jonker, Radboud University:¬†Circular Economy: the quest for a changing focus in value creation in industry and government
• Prof Phil Purnell, University of Leeds: Making the business case for Circular Economy infrastructure
• Libby Peake, Green Alliance, to talk on the UK Circular Economy strategy after Brexit
