We are sector agnostic and invest up to £2m (over a number of rounds) into companies seeking to accelerate their growth or build out their platform through the use of Data Science, Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence.

fund:AI is seeking to invest in EIS eligible, data rich companies often supporting the management team to build IP from untapped data sets enabling the the launch and expansion of products.

This includes tech enabled companies using:

• Data Scientists and Machine Learning applications
• Computer Vision
• Generative AI
• Robotic Process Automation (RPA)

Fund Manager River Capital will conduct a review of the investee company’s application to determine if it meets key criteria; including a ‘Northern’ presence, qualifying for EIS tax relief, having a strong enough AI or data angle, and  passing the £250,000 revenue milestone.

A product demo and financial analysis of the Investee company are conducted followed by further data room due diligence. This includes 5-year financial forecasting, management, commercial and competitor diligence before proceeding to investment committee.
