Louise Jones
Knowledge Transfer Manager - Smart Energy Systems
I am lead for Grid and Distributed Energy generation at Innovate UK KTN, where I cover electrical energy systems and renewables. I also lead on the Energy Systems element of delivery of KTN’s Innovation Exchange programme.
I work with innovative SMEs, large enterprises, Government departments and local authorities across a range of discipline areas and also have a regional focus in North Wales. I sit on the advisory board of The Centre for Photonics Expertise, a pan Wales project aimed at enhancing R&D in Photonics in Wales by working with companies on commercial challenges. I also sit on the Industrial Advisory Group of the Solar Network Plus and was on board of the Solar Commission that created a Solar landscape for the UK.
Get in touch if you are working in the energy or renewable energy sectors and would like links to innovative technologies or end users, particularly with a Net Zero perspective. I also support organisations who have little or no knowledge of these sectors and want to understand the key drivers, programmes and opportunities to apply their innovative technologies.
I work with industry and academia to help drive innovation across the clean growth sector with a focus on energy and renewable energy. I can provide links to information, end users and other key players and networks across these sectors and beyond. Based in Wales, I have a good knowledge of innovations, companies and academia in Wales to suggest connections to foster collaborations.
As well as working with colleagues on the Innovation Exchange programme, I was heavily involved in the UK National Strategies for Solar, Lasers and Additive Manufacturing, and am aware of the supply chain and key focus of these areas in the UK.
